Growing up in Mexico city. My mama (grandma) had cafe de Hoya ready every morning 5am ready for papa (grandpa) as he left for work. The smell of cinnamon throughout the kitchen. I loved it.

Definitely do not agree about not adding lime juice to guacamole. It’s sole purpose is not to prevent the browning of the avocados. The acidity in the limes helps to elevate the flavors of all the components. But to each their own.

I'm not sure translation was even needed... the expressions on their faces and the body language easily told the whole story.
