Very useful information. Can you help make a short, small-file-size infographic version of this for easy sharing on WhatsApps etc?

Are these the same EU scientists that are studying insects as food for humans? Do you think there are more pressing world problems than people consuming too much salt? Nearly 1 in 3 people in the world do not have enough food to eat, and 26% of people in the world do not have access to clean drinking water. But the UN scientists study insects for food and WHO is studying salt consumption? A senior UN scientist makes €200, 000 yearly plus pension and other benefits, if you work for the UN your salary is income tax-free. Just a thought get rid of the so-called scientists and hire farmers that are really successful, irrigation experts, and people that know how to grow food and raise livestock. Somehow a country like Saudi Arabia is growing food in what was desert lands. Employ some of those people.
Un /Who Scientists come up with reports that farmers use too much fertilizers. Do you think a farmer that works their fields don't know their land and will use the minimum amount of fertilizer to bring in a good crop? Fertilizers are expensive a farmers will use the least amount they can. They spread cow/horse manure over their fields in the spring for example. Many farms are family business that has been passed along to family for generations. Those families have the experience and their forefather's experience on how to run the farm. New technology allows a farmer to use drones that identify insect infestations early and the farmers can spray those areas with pesticides with the same drones. That minimizes the amount of pesticides they need to use. So what are the WHO scientist working on for next year? I can see it now. "The world is consuming too much sugar."

For cooking, I use Himalayan pink SALT instead of normal rock salt or Iodized salt.

Highly processed food can be very salty but they also use lots of refined sugar or artificial nonsense.. maybe we can worry about that before too much salt?

When my family is served salty food & we have no choice but consume it, I tell everyone to drink lots of water every other bite to dilute the salt consumed.
