I love that they included these secret reloads. It really fleshes out each gun. They do last longer than the normal ones though, so if you get one mid-battle you're probably boned. You should showcase the wrist of them sometime. They probably cost an arm and a leg to animate, despite the fact that most players wouldn't even see them in-game.

Ah yes, the cursed Garand. It demands not just the thumb, but the whole severed hand of a soldier in order to reload. My grandfather once told a story where he had to cut off the hands of fallen soldiers on the battlefield just so he reload his rifle. If you tried to feed it normal rounds, the rifle's bolt would bite off a chunk of your thumb instead and use that as ammunition.
That's why my grandpa can't play video games now, he's right thumb is now just a stump and it's too short to reach the thumbsticks.
