Why The FASE System Is Not A StepIn, StepOn, or Rear Entry Binding

Brand new for the 25/26 season the BIGGEST misconception is that the FASE system is comparable to StepIn, StepOn or Rear Entry bindings. The fact is FASE is just a system added to a standard 2 strap binding to make it 3 times faster to get in and out of. Like apples to oranges can ONLY compare them to other 2 strap bindings.

So this is like how normal bindings should have evolved anyway. Looks neat!

As someone who tried out the Supermatics this past season, this system will be a game changer for a lot of people. Every step on system requires you to still bend over to hit a lever, and most times those levers make you bend over PAST the ankle strap, which is a problem for me because I have issues reaching my toe strap. It's even worse while sitting down, so this system seems to be the best of both worlds. You won't be able to just click in and go like most step ons, but in terms of functionality and ease of use this one will be the most consistent.

People be like "You still have to bend over to strap in" and I'm like "If bending over was an issue I wouldn't be snowboarding." Stepping on straps when strapping in is my only issue with strap bindings so this looks like a gamechanger for sure.

This video breaks down the FASE system the best of any. Nice work! And I just bought new Rome Kitanas this season.

The future has straps! Big things coming for sure and this is a great explanation of the FASE System. Keep an eye out for the all-new Katana AW FASE coming this fall....

These do look awesome. I picked up some flow NX2’s last year for the first time and didn’t expect that I’d have to deratchet/ratchet every run. Also, reaching the back level all the way on the ground is difficult for me. Leaning forward is much easier than leaning backwards and touching your heels. I may just try this out next season.

Sick review and video! I've been super stoked about this new tech and I finally saw the details of the design from your vid! Thanks for this! I wish I could try them on this season at Niseko

saw it in japan and thought it was very interesting. The concept works well for those who still want that feel of a strap. I didn't get to try it with my boots but just got to play around with it

"This is not a phase, this is the FASE" 🔥. Appreciate the in depth video, looking forward to the reviews! Hoping the Jones models can incorporate skate tech with the FASE system in the future.

one thing is it looks like there's no highback angle adjustment (at least on these first models coming out), so it's a no go for double posi riding or more extreme angles. at least the stepons you're connected to the highback so it's not as bad you can't adjust them

Pants over the high back steez 😂 Great video! Thanks for sharing.

I don't understand the skepticism. This system is going to become standard for strap bindings over the next few years. Huge!

Hey, dig your videos. Which of the 4 brand fase bindings do you prefer after testing them? It seems the toe strap stays put better with the Jones/32 models, while the rome/bataleon's toe straps can move up/down creating opportunity for your strap to not land in the right spot on your boot each time. Is that accurate? Also, how durable is that heel mechanism on the backside of the highback? That "pin" piece looks like it could snap?
