Nisi JetMag Pro Filter Review

In this video I review the Nisi JetMag Pro filters.

These are a round magnetic ND filter system used for creating long exposures.
I am testing and reviewing the 82mm Landscape Kit.
This includes a 3.6 and 10 stop ND + CPL.

To buy in Australia
NB: Vignette testing
Nisi state that you can run 2 filters and no vignetting on 15mm Canon and 16mm Sony full frame. It will vary a bit with different cameras and lenses, but use that as a guide.
I tested it on a Fuji XT-3 with a 10-24mm lens at 10mm, this is equivalent to 15mm full frame. I actually ran 4 filters with no vignetting.

Great presentation tonight Dean & seeing the filters close up was a bonus. 👍👌

Interesting Dean. I still use the LEE100 System. It does what I need it to do, it's expensive to change gear systems as you would know. There are always new innovations in camera gear & it's an expensive thing to change. Love the images at the end!

Thanks! I had the Nisi V5 with my D850 and then the V7. Absolutely fabulous. I now have the Z9 and want to upgrade to a magnetic system because it is a little time consuming screwing on adaptors and filters. My question is will there be a system for the Nikon 14-24 f2.8 Sl line. It has a 112mm thread. There is a 122mm CPL ($215), but the lens hood that comes with 14-24mm has a light leak. Nisi makes an adaptor lens hood without a light leak. The question is will there be a system like the V5 but can accommodate 112mm thread with ND’s and CPL?

I think it's probably a really great hit Dean. I'm probably still gonna stick with my square ones and I have a simple theory with the square ones is that there is no vignetting now I know they say there's no vignetting in thes. But every circular filter I've ever had has darker corners I've got the Nisi filters but the 100 mm ones. And yes, it's a touch slower setting it up but to be honest I carry a little bum bag that sits on my waist which I have the filters inside that so I can quickly change them easy enough. I think it's a really good initiative by Nisi

What about your lens hood, will that still fit?

Hi Dean, thank you for the insightful review. Did you have the chance to test the ND filters also on a long lens. I have used the Haida filters the last years and it is not possible to use them with my Fujinon XF 70-300mm lens because I always end up with severely blurred images.
