Fire Dragon Stove & Fuel - British Military Issued.

This is the Fire Dragon multi fuel stove with Fire Dragon's own solid fuel blocks.
Fire Dragon solid fuel is a lightweight, environmentally friendly and waterproof solid cooking and fire lighting fuel. It is used by the military and outdoor enthusiasts alike to light fires, cook food, and boil water in all weather conditions. The solid fuel blocks are quick and easy to ignite even when wet, and are also odourless and non-toxic with a clean burn.

Fire Dragon is a world first. There is no other fuel like it on the market. Whether in driving rain, the freezing arctic or searing heat, the fuel will perform in extreme conditions.

hi mate great video, i have been using one of these stoves since they first came out, a good tip buy 2 and use the wind screen from both in 1 of them it improves burn time also flatten the centre piece down on 1 and a simple alcohol stove will fit

I've been using one of these little stoves for a few years now. I find that using one of those folding wind-shields around it really improves its performance (as it does with many types of stove). It's not the best performing stove out there but I like it for its simplicity and reliability. I usually light mine with a ferro rod - just drop a spark onto it and it lights easily. Incidentally I've found that if you haven't used up the entire block you can blow the flame out and when it cools the fuel will turn back to a solid which can be re-lit later.

I really like these - it was my first camping stove when I started doing more outdoorsy stuff a couple of years ago, I did switch to a more conventional gas stove for a while, but I think I'm now leaning back towards the BCB. The main benefit is how compact / lightweight it is compared to a gas canister and even, say, something compact like a Pocket Rocket or similar. That said I think there's probably a break even point if you're going to need to use it 3 or more times while you're out. Also I found stability is better from the BCB compared to a typical gas stove setup - not much fun when one of those falls over!

Nice one Chris. I've been using these tablets for a couple of years now and they are great. They also very good for antibacing and cleaning your hands. Great if you cook with raw meat, before you light it just rub it over your hands then cook. I always take them with me.

I like the Firedragon very much.
I boiled a cup of water with just half a cube.
You have to be careful not to melt them.

Nifty little stove that is chris! Our grandson visited after our 10.2 mile hike n he was telling his grandad about these stoves, that you pop a tablet in but we carry 2 amazing APG stoves! Food goes in one n make drink in tother!

I ordered one of these off the back of this review. I used to use these type of stoves way back in the days and forgot all about them. Intend to use it as a back up stove just in case something goes wrong with my gas stove. Cheap as chips and small pack size. Cheers Chris 👍

Good afternoon Chris, what a handy bit of kit! Kat and I have often wondered about getting a little stove like this, great little bit of kit and essential for tea and food guzzlers like us ☕❤🔥 have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat 👍

I’ve one of these. They are pretty good and nice and cheap. Don’t perform that well in wind but work really well when there’s no breeze

I use these most of the time, 1 tablet for a brew, 2 for a meal.

I use one of these as well as a gas set up and Trangia set up.
Pros are it's light, stove and fuel tabs are cheap as anything, environmentally friendly . Boil time is similar to Trangia and kettle too.
Cons - keeping an eye on fuel tablets and be prepared to use more than one .
Biggest con I've found is unlike a gas or a Trangia, unless you can find a rock you will need something with you to stand it on. That flame goes everywhere

Looks like a good idea Chris. Definitely more environmentally friendly than the alternatives. Certainly packs down super small too

Great little stove as a budget option or wanting to keep it late weight. I have to say the military stoves have come on along way.... I remember Hexamine cubes taking ages to light!

I used to love the smell of Hexamin out in the wild. That stove is an improvement on the old one.
