Tech startups don't have access to the funds to pay for content recognition technologies lol. I guess new platforms don't matter until it catches the attention of regulators.

Step 1 . Accuse Facebook and Google of unfair competition and destroying small companies .
Step 2 . Introduce new laws making Content filters a necessity .
Step 3 . Let companies like google (who already have content filter softwares) dominate the market
Step 4. Let Smaller companies and startups with no funds to make these softwares get closed

People are going to get frustrated when they realize what's happening. By then it will be too late. These directives are almost impossible to enforce. The end result might be that a lot of YouTube channels disappear.

I would at least suggest that those who think its such a bad idea at least have a look at A Different Bias video entitled ' The EU Copyright Directive - Articles 11 & 13' before passing judgment/get some perspective on the subject. Just a thought

Why don't they just make a way we can use copy written material and if it's music or something we buy it to use it. That way the artist or whoever is getting paid.
