In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to composite smoking, burning eye energy VFX in Adobe After Effects. This glowing eyes effect is based on Todd Ingram's powers in the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, with a few more advanced modifications of our own, such as the use of ActionVFX's Cigarette Smoke and Icon: Anamorphic: Lens Flares collections to do the glowing eyes FX.

Hey I love your VFX tutorials, I find them super helpful especially because I have access to After Effects.

One thing I was wondering, could you make a VFX bundle where it has a few assets but from many categories? (for example, a War VFX Bundle with 2 dust explosions, 1 dirt explosion, 3 gasoline explosions, 4 muzzle flashes, 2 smoke assets, 3 fires etc.) I believe many people would love this and be willing to purchase it. I also believe it could be a great sample pack for those unsure whether to get a whole asset pack or not.

Just a Thanks for listening - keep up the awesome content!

idk what is so different about my after effects but everytime i make a null for my eyes and transfer my tracked eye clips from mocha to after effects the tracking doesn’t carry over been here for hours rinse and repeating your directions but to no avail i end up with the same problem or once i fix that problem another arises

How can you do this for a clip in an entire timeline? Every time I export my tracking data onto my null object, the key frames fill the entire timeline, and don't match up.

Can someone help me with an issue ? When I click on Apply AE Masks it only does it for the right eye. I have left eye tracker, mask, null object everything and the lens flare does follow it so I can't understand why it's not working for both.

Please, make a head explosion effect. Like in The Boys or The Suicide Squad.

It looks odd to me when the rising smoke tracks with the head movement. Perhaps using particle effects would be more convincing. Well done, otherwise.

Can you say if the effects in this tutorial "Cigarette Smoke" and "Icon: Anamorphic Lens Flare" are included in the "The Battle Box" Humble Bundle Pack that is open at the moment (until March 2nd.)?

Ok, but my eye mask doesn't follow the eye track. I don't know why. I have AE 2019 and Mocha CC. Any suggestion?
