Aqueon 14 gallon rimless cube review!

In this video, we discuss my 14 gallon aqueon rimless cube aquarium! This aquarium was purchased from Petco for 39.99. It was originally priced around 85 USD but was on a great sale! The aquarium comes with a lid, clips for the lid, a leveling mat, and the aquarium itself.

The filter used in this video was a Seachem Tidal 35 gallon filter which we plan to use with shrimp such as cherry shrimp and orange bee shrimp! New video coming soon on how we shrimp-proofed the filter!!!

The led is a generic aquarium led from by 10-gallon nano reef. And the sand used was seachem Flourite black which is a black clay-based substrate. We also used the Marineland and seachem biomedia for filtration and the filter pump itself is also manufactured by Sicce so this pump is whisper quiet!

When adding media from a running tank it pretty much instantly cycles. Just wanted to throw that out there.

How’s it holding up? I have one, but I’m hesitant to set it up. I also got it on sale. My use for it will be for quarantine. Bare bottom with a few PVC pipes and sponges filter plus HOB.

6 gallon is beautiful but more space the better- did you move Fire and Ice to the 14 gallon? Also, did you do a video on the filter? I'm wondering- what are the different things you can put in the filter? Can you add filter floss as well? Thanks for the review-I see it is on sale now again

Does the glass bow out when filled up with water?

The water level in the tank is a little too high, the lines on the pump are to skim the top of the water and get the yuck off.

Im going to buy this exact tank from petco! Its 93$ and some change. A bit pricey for me ( since im trying to be more financially aware ) .. but its beautiful. I will attempt to put both my elephant ear bettas(male and female) together with some snails, shrimps, and some community fish tank mates. With alot of decorations, live plants and hide outs. As of of rn i have 2 seperate tanks, a 6.7 gallon for my female( since the females are more active swimmers ) & my male in his 5 gallon ( which is from the same brand and same frameless quality as this one ) so im looking forward to the purchase.
Any suggestions at all? What should i put in the tank besides what i mentioned?

this is not like 14 gallon tank. smaller than my 10 gallon marine long gallon. you said the glass is thin so it is safe to change water or what?

Had the Aqueon 8.8 “aqua springs” cube . Rimeless . Hated the filter . Suction cup filters sucks . Under water Sponge filters with bubbler or just a normal hang on

I'll be that guy but this is highly overpriced even at $40. I just saw it doesn't even come with the filter nor light or any other accessories like in the misleading advertised picture on the box.
This is maybe worth $28 because they add the glass lid but even that's a stretch. Most glass tanks should be $1/gallon up to 55.
