We Went To Saudi Arabia.

In today's episode, we take you along on one of our craziest trips so far. Never in a million years did we think we'd go to Saudi Arabia this soon. Then, all of a sudden, we decided to just do it.

We were hesitant to go given all we’ve read about the country.

During our journey to 100 countries and beyond, we will undoubtedly visit countries where we don’t agree with certain laws or practices, and personally, we don’t want this to stop us from going.

After all, how can we build understanding if we refuse to meet people, or are not open-minded enough to talk to someone who might disagree with us? We need more understanding, respect, and international cooperation, not greater divides.

Our intention has always been to use our platform as a personal diary to look back on, and we want to take every opportunity we can to grow and learn more about the world.

More videos from Saudi Arabia coming soon!🇸🇦

Thank you for always supporting us and being the best people on the planet🌍❤️

I just got back from Riyadh 3 weeks ago. I am actually considering moving there I loved the city so much. I felt safer there than I do in Toronto. Highly recommend anyone to visit. Just be respectful of the country and people and you'll have the best time!

I'm from Yemen and I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, I lived most of my life there but I had to move abroad a few years ago, I never feel home anywhere except in Saudi Arabia. Miss all the memories that I left in Riyadh and tbh Saudis are one the kindest people I've ever lived among. God bless this country and may one day I get to come back.

"Why most of the places are deserted, like no one else is there" -> It's because of the hot weather, most people stay indoors during the day until 6pm-7pm. People usually goes out at round 7pm-8pm especially after Isha prayer. Stores closes at around 12AM. During Ramadan, stores closes at around 5AM.

As a Saudi, I resist watching these videos, I thought it would be another misrepresentation video, but I really enjoyed this! You know how to spend your time.

P.s: regarding the visa and what you had to sign, I wish you could see what we go through as Saudis to apply for American visas, we are treated like guilty until proven otherwise, and when we’ve arrived to NYC, people rudely took pictures of us because we were wearing abayas.

In short, misrepresentation from both sides.

I moved to KSA two years ago with my Saudi husband. All in all, it is a very safe country and the people are very welcoming. I was pretty confused too when I first moved here about why the people are not as active during the day, but I believe it is because 1. the weather, 2. prayer times, and 3. they are just night owls. And just like in the U.S. there are nice parts and not so nice parts. As well as some areas being more conservative than others. But the nightlife is great! And they are big on mocktails, you'll find them everywhere. I love changing peoples perceptions about Saudi, considering most people in the U.S. only know things from the news or film portrayal's. You guys are changing a lot of peoples perceptions!

Once again, you have changed my views of a country through your vlogs. Saudi Arabia definitely is not as scary as I thought it would be. Your interaction with the immigration officer is so uplifting!

Surprisingly this video has become one of my favorites. I liked how you guys showed your concerns/fear and then magically surprised me how beautiful the country is and how friendly Saudis are. Thank you I’m looking forward to the rest of the videos in SA

As a Persian, I thought the scene at 23:30 was epic. Those vast valleys have millions of prehistoric tales to tell. Just purely from a geological standpoint, imagine times here when the planet was completely different! When that valley was a lake and with a high-oxygen atmosphere supporting dinosaurs & giant snails to roam here. And Oskar, I heard you say yall love mountains. If so, you're also welcome to check them out as guests in Iran. *Asalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh to Saudis from an Iranian <3*

I'm Indonesian but I was born and raised in Riyadh until 2019 I moved to Indonesia. I gotta say, Riyadh is a really safe place to stay. I feel more at home in Saudi rather than in my own country 😔 I hope one day will be able to live in Saudi for the rest of my life.
