This commercial really strikes home for me. My older sister was developmentally disable. Learning new things, especially things that required balance or using certain motor skills was hard for my sister. She was almost four when she finally learned to walk or was potty trained. It took her three years to learn to ride a two-wheeler. She had delayed speech and had difficulty putting sentences together. But my mom never lowered the bar for her and worked with her tirelessly teaching her. Every accomplishment was a triumph and celebrated. A lot of parents would have given up but not my mom. She was Wonder Woman and Super Girl all wrapped up into one. She was an amazing woman. On top of all that, she kept house, cooked, gardened and home schooled me. Happy Mother's Day mom! I'll see you in heaven.

Just went to visit my parents and have lunch with them to celebrate Mother's Day. Despite the yelling, ear pulling, etc. which I know was for my own good, she's the best, the one who was always there through thick and thin. Love and respect to ALL mothers in ALL forms out there.
