Jailbreaking has slowed down with iOS 17 - iOS 17.5.1. Having said that, there is still hope for a new jailbreak on iOS 17.0! Apple's newer firmwares patch vulnerabilities that could be exploited to allow for an iOS 17 jailbreak on iPhone 15 and older - basically EVERY device would be covered.

If you've already updated though, just avoid updates in the future. Most major iOS 17.x releases include security patches that could later be exploited (in theory). With that in mind, it's best to stay on as low of a firmware as possible. AVOID UPDATING and pray for a new jailbreak. I'll keep you guys in the loop.

Also, with iOS 18 on the horizon, would you even want to jailbreak iOS 18? I'm curious, so please let me know in the comment section.

Sent my iPhone in for repair and Apple updated it to 17.5.1 and wiped everything on top of that. At this point I don’t even want an iPhone that can’t have a jailbreak.
Walmart don’t sell unlocked phones so I’ll have to go on Amazon or eBay to find one on a compatible iOS. I’m hating apple for messing up my perfect setup. But when ur screen ain’t working with no repair stores or an Apple store u have no choice to send it in to get wiped and updated

Ive been jailbreaking since I was a kid. Back when the first ipod had an untethered jailbreak. I remember all my friends thought it was so cool & I would actually jailbreak their devices too. Every apple device I owned had a cydia jailbreak. Running basic tweaks like f.lux, zeppelin & barrel made my devices look so cool. I have not had a proper jailbreak since my iphone 11 almost 5 years ago. I am hoping that I can jailbreak my iphone 15 pro max. I am thinking on jailbreaking my iPad because of stage manager. I love it and even prefer iPadOS to macOS or Windows as a desktop operating system. But I only have an iPad Pro with A12X Processor which officially doesn’t support full desktop extending to external displays since you need an M1 or newer for it. But I don’t need to upgrade because mine is working perfectly fine. So with jailbreaking I could get this functionality.
