To all the commenters: not all single moms have become that through promiscuity or by having a thing for unreliable men, just like not all of them expect you to pay their bills.

Imagine if your mom was raising you by herself - how would you feel about her being condemned by men in general and doomed to a life of solitude, just because she made the decision to have a child by a man she thought was good, but who later changed?

So if you meet a high-quality, self-respecting woman with good morals and a stable job and financial situation, then you shouldn't hold it against her that she has kids from a previous relationship. She's a human being with the same desire as you - to love and be loved - and if you get to know her kids you might find that they're much better people and much better company than your own offspring.
