I trained Krav Maga in Tel Aviv back in 2004 with some of the best. My best memory from this trip was when I sat in the sauna in Saviyon country club talking international affairs with some really high placed guys on a friday right before shabbath.
And visiting the old city in Jerusalem. The arab vendors didn't bother us because I was in company of some scary looking Krav Maga instructors.
Or eating charcoal grilled kebabs after training st the Tel Aviv market. I can keep talking memories from that trip forever. Israel is a wonderful place!

I'm lucky that I had krav maga at high school in Czech Republic and our teacher had krav maga certification from Israel... and he also teaches soldiers and police officers, he has 30 years of experiences from all kind of martial arts 💪💪💪💪

Love the idea of Competition for Krav Maga. Good way of separating cyber warriors and real warriors. Looking forward to having comps in Britain too.

I was in the IDF years ago and our company commander was a former Krav Maga competitor.
I love how in the video it's scenario based, like at 1:15 an abduction attempt.

I’d really like to see video of that exercise where team members are made to stand in a line and the dude at the back has to fight his way to the front while everyone else tries to stop him. It was described in a book by a former Duvdevan operator, and it sounded intense.

Good idea competition is a better way to measure your skills than only doing drills.

IDF Israeli Defence Forces I Salute you! and your krav Maga fighting style is Awsome! a no-nonsense aproach to street fighting suitable for anyone regardles of size, weight, height, and strength, Designed to take anyone down or knock-em out! rendering them unconcious.

krav maga moto - if you cant hurt a bigger stronger guy during a fight no problem, aim to the softer target areas like throat, eyes, solar plexes, testicles, kicks to- knee caps kicks to inside thighs and so on. style is aggressive and easy to learn and easy to adapt.

RESPEC! ISREAL I SALUTE YOU !

Cooljay...

With the armor, this looks much safer than kickboxing and Muay Thai sparring.

Whenever I do kickboxing and MT sparring, I always get worried if I will get brutally injured, and when you get hit or kicked, it is indeed really painful...

Krav Maga is NOT meant for show. its purpose is to do as much damage to the enemy as possible, breaking bones (and balls) with every strike.

Unless u allow head contact then it's all irelavent ! . I'm not saying everyone should do 200rounds of boxing but certainly 5 rounds would teach you the golden rule of chin in hands high . I know a west end of London ex boxer adapted judo and boxing to become what is today's Krav Maga in the 30s&40s so surprised the basic boxing concept of chin in hands high has been forgotten

I love how the idf decided to have competitions of km. That it's possible because the soldiers have two things: the nessesary skills to apply in a match, and balls to fight even if they can loose.
This contrast with the commercial krav maga (any krav maga teached outside the idf, it doesn't matter if your instructor is an ex military or a certified instructor in israel, or both), that sistems never will prepare a student to preassure test his skills against a full ressistance opponent. If they do that the classes will be more difficult for the vast mayority of people beacause they'll have to put much more effort on the training in order to see results (apply the techniques under real preasure).
If the commercial km does this things they will be risking themsefes to lose students (and money). The idf can't lose students, the soldiers can not skip the hand to hand combat if they are not interested in that.

PD: note how many people from all ages starts and abandon the practice of combat sports in a short period of time (beacause hard training and non inmediate results, among other things). I'm not saying that self defense classes are easy, but in order to have more students (and earn more money) a lot of sistems changes their training methodology for others. Easiers but much less realistics.
That's the reason because combat sports are far more superior for street defense than the 97% of self defense sistems (including km). They have really BIG limitations, but they're 0% bullshit.

I remember Itay Gil (sorry I can't remember his rank). Maybe relative of Col. Oren Gil?
I would like learn KM. We, women need a selfdefense technique to be safe today here. 👏👏👏⚘
Greetings.

Very cool. What techniques and philosophical approach does krav maga say to use when dealing with children that throw rocks?
