The first rover at the start has a similar wheel layout as a tank I made last year, it was really good because it was still functional even after 80% wheel loss

This wheel design has no business working as well as it does. I've been playing with it myself, and the ease at which it handles terrain really can't be overstated. Have you tried out putting gyroscopes on override inside the wheels, to get even more torque?
