That pilot's a pro with some serious skill. Look at the light poles on either side of the street, that's his margin of error and he's dead center on both sides.

I live near by and travel La Brea all the time.... a copter landing on that street is just incredible.

Make sure you take the keys! LA police already had 2 of their cruisers stolen when they were out on a call.😂

And after all this effort, the criminal will not be charged and released the same day.

So we gonna continue to act like our countries mental health crisis isn’t creating a gun crisis? I think the funniest thing is how people still scratch their heads and ask how these type of incidents keep happening and then continue to do nothing to stop the issue.

For what reason though??? What good is a helicopter in the street? It's not rescuing anybody either, tons of civilians were just walking around that area where they were focused. I just do not see what the helicopters purpose was in the middle of the street?? We have swat APC's and squad cars. The hell is a helicopter going to do but be a liability, he should be monitoring the area from above, did they get bored or??

The way police vehicles have been stolen lately, brave of them to put it on the ground. Amazed one of the drug addicts or crazy homeless didn't jack it

These apartments are $4000+ a month for a one-bedroom with homeless people swatting invisible enemies all over that block.

The SWAT team has a helicopter? I remember when Hondo would roll up in a converted taco truck. 😂

traffic in that area is just business as usual. My hat is off to the pilot. That landing looks pretty tough. For those of you unfamiliar with helicopter landings, they can't simply go straight up or down easily. They require an approach angle. Suffice it to say, that man has some skills.

Why is a helicopter in the middle of a busy intersection? What is happening in LA

L.A. is super random, unique and unmatchably weird. There's a certain energy you just don't get anywhere else. And events like this make me miss this city. I use to drive this intersection (Santa Monica Blvd & La Brea) all the time. Day and night I was CONSTANTLY in this area. To see that McDonald's and the Target/Best Buy complex on the corner from above bring back so many memories.
