My kit recommends BT-1 due to older charge controller, but it seems I could use BT-2 instead and connect to the battery instead of charge controller, and still see current Amps. True?

At 1:08 it says connect the inverter/ charge controller tray cables to opposite corners of the battery bank. Should I just connect my bus bars to the opposite corners of the battery bank and connect everything via the bus bars?

Do I need a shunt to monitor battery capacity and load or will the BT2 replace the need for a system like that?

Is this the recommended charge controller for your lifepo batteries?

This seems like quite an onerous process using a pair of these batteries in a camper where it can be weeks or months between use, but still having to set them up several times a year. Why not stay connected with a maintenance voltage?

Hello I have a question that I haven't been able to get answered anywhere. I have ordered a Renogy 200 watt kit with a 1000 watt inverter, I also have 2 100ah batteries from Renogy, what gauge of wire do I need to connect both batteries together?

RENOGY tech support say they have removed the ability to set the bank into shelf mode as shown here. Now you have to separate the batteries first. How strange that they move backwards!

One of my batteries will not go in to shelf mode. One battery I successfully switched off & the activation switch light dimmed - for the other battery it will not dim. Is there another workaround? I have disconnected my system for the season. If there is a trickle charger I could use instead please advise.

Is there somewhere to buy a replacement Activation switch?

What exact kind of cable is needed to connect two batteries? It says CAT-5. Do you mean crossover or straight? Can I use a simple patch cable like I use for computer connecting to a switch?

Can you also put them in series? If so, what’s the max series voltage and the max XsYp configuration?

Ooh, I hope they don't recommend that your cables should look like that where connected to the charge controller - strands all loose and tangled.

Does it possible to connect bt2 and smart monitor in same time?
