We are watching a pretty simple 6-step strategy in action. 1) Claim credit for all good news. 2) Blame official bad guys for all bad news. 3) Throw money at problems identified by the MSM. Call money a strategy and solution. 4) Any MSM-identifed problem that disappears from the MSM is "problem solved". 5) Do and deny.. Redefine words so that the right critics become "wrong evil whiners". 6) Never attack a critic's actual record or arguments. Misrepresent almost everything a critic says and attack the strawman version of the critic instead. There may not be a 7th rule, but there probably are a few more.
