Trade Federation MTT 7662 - 1330 pieces, 21 minifigs - 2007.
MTT 75058 - 954 pieces, 12 minifigs - 2014.

When you're a kid and you pull open the 2007 MTT and see a literal army of battle droids it's pretty epic. The new one on the other I guess that's just a nice little squad coming out of it

I remember back when I was 5 or 6 just getting into lego. Star Wars was obviously my favorite theme. I faintly remember walking into my local lego store and seeing the 2007 MTT. Good times...

The year 2014 one is a joke. It would be pointless to transport 8 battledroids to the battlefront with such a big brown vehicle in practice. This is a lego model that has been simplified too much. The number of battledroides should be at least kept the same as the 2007 one.

Always wished they made a version of the 2007 MTT in Separatist blue/grey colors. IMO, one of the best Star Wars sets ever made.

The bigger, 2007 one, was the first "big" lego set I got. It was christmas 2008, and my arm was broken so I built it with my dad over the course of a few days. It's still one of my most favorite sets I've ever gotten. It's in ruins, however, in a box of my old legos lol.

I like the 2007 MTT a bit more because it comes with more Battledroids. Good Video!

The 2014 set looks like one of the original 1999-2000s lego sets.

I bought the 2007 MTT today for 10$ used complete with all of the pieces and minifigures. Biggest LEGO steal in my life!

I've always wanted the original one since I was a little kid. Always flipped through the booklets that came in packages and awed at the number of battledroids included

the old one is better in every way, but I always classed it as a ucs set. so kinda a unfair comparison to me. although I would've wanted to see the first one from 2000, and how that one compares to the newest one

Lego really needs to do another MTT that can carry more than six droids

I have MTT 7662 and AAT 8018 and both are more detailed than their recent version ... (MTT 75058 and AAT 75080)
