Talk Talk - It's My Life [naked]

Following the release of the stems I have put together a mix of just the drums, guitar, bass, and vocals.

And I've combined it with a recently unearthed UK TV performance.

My apologies for the couple of gaps in the video where there wasn't enough footage.

One of the best songs ever written and ever existed. We used to go to this place, called Ground Round, back in the 80s. The waiting staff and managers already knew our order, so our beer and wings were already on the table when they saw come in and #94 on the jukebox, It's My Life, was already playing due to us coming there. We loved this song, we heard it there, in our cars, in the clubs we visited and everywhere where we could listen to it. The 80s was the best era in music and this was and still is, one of the best songs ever written.

The greatest pop anthem of all time! LOVE your remix and seeing their TV performance. We were all so heartbreakingly young in those days! My husband, Jon Mott, was a nightclub DJ/VJ throughout the 1980s and well into the '90s. During the many years he played at Rich's Houston, he always saved this record until just after midnight, at which time the club's employees were free to come dance if they weren't tied up serving customers. It meant everything to us, especially since so many around us were losing their lives during hat time. Jon created a wonderful club remix of "It's My Life" that weaves together the UK and US 12" versions and extends the video footage to match via creative re-editing. The UK version is more ethereal than the US version and has a gorgeous floaty-sounding break that the US version lacks altogether, so Jon's remixreally brought together all of the best elements of this record. We posted it on YouTube early on, and it racked up nearly a million views before it Tiome Warner (the copyright owner) made YouTube take it down. I wish I could share it with you somehow!
