He’s not 22. This is Toby, he’s suffering from a skin condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome that causes saggy skin. He’s 11, still pretty old but not that old. He was rescued by a lady named Gorgina along with another cat named Quinton

I had a female polydactyl I had found behind a garage when I was a freshman in high school. That was 1993, she passed away in 2013 of natural causes. Every night she would sleep on my chest, or near my head. The day she passed I woke up and noticed she wasn’t on, or next to me… then I saw she was right next to my bed on the floor right where my head would be. She lifted her head as to say good morning, and goodbye at the same time. I instantly started crying because I knew she didn’t have much time left. I held her close to my heart, talking, and petting her… until she passed in my arms. One of the most painful moments, but I knew in my heart that she lived a long, spoiled life, and knew how much she was loved! I will always remember, miss, and cherish our time together my Nala girl. Through the loss of my mother, and all my cancer treatments she was right by my side, and at the end… I was by hers. Rest easy beautiful girl!

Mine made it 21 yrs. Showed up at my front door one day at about 4 months old. 2 years later I still can't process it. She laid by my terminally ill wife almost immediately, that cat laying beside my wife everyday make my wife so happy. I will never get over the loss.

My baby died traumatically and out of nowhere at age 7, last November. It feels like a wound that will never heal... I would've given anything for Apollo to age into his golden years... Anyone who gets this is SO blessed.


He was such a good boy.

My dad had a German shepherd for 17 years and a cat for 23!!! Which was a much longer life span than what is usually expected for both the GS and the cat!!! He says that they lived for so long because of how happy and full of love they both were!!! The GS received a gold medal for helping the fire department with rescues over a period of 3 years, he got the medal once he retired!!!! The cat acted like his mother!!! It was probably my dad’s happiest years!!!!
Edit: Besides the times when my siblings and I were born, of course!!! Point made by Dad himself!!!
