It is not hanuman but one of the king who didn't wished viswamitra.The king took the help of help of Hanuman for protection. The rest if the story is same

Not the exact story. Lord Hanuman wasn't the one who angered Sage Vishwamitra, but some other king did. Then the king went into protection of Lord Hanuman's mother who then ordered Hanuman to protect him. Lord Rama was ordered to kill that king by Vishwamitra and hence Lord Rama and Hanuman had a battle.

Your story is wrong, it’s a completely different story and Hanuman unknowingly takes an oath on Ram’s name to protect a king and on the other hand sage Vishwamitra wanted lord Ram to kill that king for spoiling his penance. No death sentence or anything was given to Hanuman. Ram and Hanuman will battle it out and Hanuman doesn’t fight and he just chants Ram naam and that Ram’s arrows don’t do Hanuman any harm. Eventually lord Shiva and Narad comes and asks Vishwamitra to calm down.
