The Doctor being too old and weak to pull the cracker and Clara helping him was such a small touch, but it really hits home when your parents get old.

One thing I love about this scene is the fact that The Doctor's pretty much given up and has resigned to what he thinks is his future, and then Clara comes in and saves the day, and I loved his joy.

That eerie  version of Clara's Theme is one of my favorite pieces ever composed for the show.  I was very disappointed when it wasn't released in the Time Of The Doctor soundtrack.

I feel like Twelve has been dedicating a lot of time in attempt to find Gallifrey behind the scene. His new incarnation appears to take better precautions in observing and outsmarting villains. A more obvious hint would be the classroom-like interior additions to the Tardis; notably bookshelves and blackboards, the latter of which are almost always covered with mysterious calculations. It does suggest that the Doctor isn't resting on the idea of finding Gallifrey.

I cannot believe they didn't put the music from Clara pleading at the crack on the soundtrack. That was my favorite piece of music from the entire special!
