CreelMT™ is an Automated yarn creeling system.
Modra Technology, innovators in soft flooring solutions, has launched the evolutionary automated yarn creeling system, CreelMT™ for tufted carpet manufacturers.
CreelMT™ combines Gilbos precision winders to accurately measure the length of yarn required for each needle position along with robotic package handling to place wound packages of yarn into a mobile creel.

Sales and Profitability
• Short runs - precision winding and the reduction in labour and time required to prepare a job mean that shorter runs become viable.
• Quality – bit or back-wound yarn can impact on the quality of the end product. Yarn passes through the CreelMT™ system once, reducing knots and splices.
Production Efficiency
• Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) - increase the available time of the tufting machine by quickly exchanging mobile creels.
• Wastage – precision winding means yarn wastage is reduced to around 2% - 5%.
