You can say that you didn't bring your real sword because you were afraid to hurt someone and that sword was magical.

I haven't seen "Rise of Red" (Figured I grew out of "Descendants" by the time it was announced), but I'd say that's a pretty good reason to not play her. But, if you wanted to play her one day and keep the magic alive when faced with this problem, you could make up a lie to explain why you can't swordfight.

Like, for example, if this Chloe taught Red how to sword fight, you could say something like "Well, here's the thing, Chloe and I are gonna have a duel after this and we agreed we weren't going to touch any swords until then. That way, we wouldn't come up with any new tricks to use on each other."

That's a lie coming from someone who didn't see the movie, so maybe there's a better one. But, hey, that's what I'd say if I was playing a character who knew how to swordfight and didn't know how to swordfight in real life.

You could say you can't use her sword because it isn't magic! Or if you don't want her to stop believing her sword is magic you could say your sword is specific wonderland magic!

For the sword thing you could say that you promised someone (i.e. parents of the kid or someone from the movie) that you wouldn't do sword tricks there because swords can be dangerous and we don't want anyone getting hurt.
