So you have a bunch of super talented Australians doing an excellent cover of an iconic song, by a Cuban singer, being watched by an Indian guy (me) in America, and at the same time, you have people watching this who belong to a generation that never heard this song before. For all that we bemoan about the pitfalls of technology, the fact that it can bring this many people together, from different backgrounds, is a plus.

the montuno on piano was very good and I suppose Darren relinquished the ivories to another with the "Salsero" feel? That was my specialty on keys...montunos. There are many great montuno players around the states and Latin America, including this young fella on keys. The brass (3:10) was tight and bright as were the timbales and congas (3:26). Con did a great variation of the bass montuno (3:41) which complimented the outro very well. Excellent job on this one HSCC! thank you for sharing with the world!

This horn section is off the chart. Absolutely spot-on. I wish they could do 'so very hard to go' by the Tower of Power. They had killer horns to blow your mind apart. They were outstanding. My opinion only.

That drummer (Brad) is so smooth, so slowing! Steve Todd and Dan Donato are KILLING it on the percussion. As a percussionist by schooling, I love watching these guys play! It makes me excited about drumming!
