What makes Mr. Buffet different from other fund managers is, others defend their actions whereas Warren takes responsibility for it.

What are your honest thoughts? It seems anti-Buffett to have sold off airline shares in such a short term time frame. But yet he did anyway. I believe him to be correct on airlines facing troubles in the short term. But does he not see a rebound coming? Even if that rebound takes a few years? Let me know what you think.

Buffet is being criticised by everyone for this action, as these stocks have gone up since. It is well known that this market spike is not based on any fundamentals, but because of the huge stimulus. Many who got the benefit find that keeping these large amounts of money in the bank with zero return is "unwise", and they have taken the more risky option of investing in stocks. Even the stock of Hertz, that has filed for Chapter 11 has been going up. So, we have to see what will happen in the months ahead, after this initial euphoria, when the markets come back to some kind of sanity there will be an assessment of the bottomline. Look at the number of aircrafts parked somewhere for which the owners are paying for financiers and there is little hope that air travel will return to full pre-COVID operations, till closer to the Christmas holidays or in the worst case, the summer of 2021. We have to see how many of these four airlines will still be flying in 2021.

Buffett is becoming too old and losing grip on value investing. He was wrong two months ago when buying DAL at $47 and now he is wrong again selling DAL at $25. Two wrongs don’t make one right. He says he is greedy when others fearful but then contradicts himself by selling at the lows. So full of it.
With everybody trying to sell off tomorrow, mimicking Buffett, I will be buying UAL and DAL left and right at the lows at a very big discount.
