Time to look at another in the Gerber EXO MOD series. The Gerber EXO MOD Drop Point Fixed Blade is a possibly great addition to a hunters kit. Or even possibly as a starter EDC fixed blade option

I've had the full kit for about 5 months now and I'm not disappointed.
It appears there may be some QC issues when it comes to sharpness as mine came extremely sharp straight out of the box.
I've also dressed 2 mouflon sheep with them and they performed great.
That's the problem with the Chinese made Gerber knives, you never quite know what you're going to get on a QC level

Got a 2 pack of the drop point, and caper for 36$. Pulled both out of the box, and processed a deer with each one. Very impressed for straight out of the package, for $18 knives…

I like this knife but I hate the belt attachment, it doesn’t sit well on a heavy belt, and I can’t figure out any good way to mount it, because of the weird shape of the ‘belt loop’ part of the sheath. I bought it intending to use it as a light EDC but I hate the lack of good attachment solutions.

The last steel I want in any hunting or outdoors knife some more gerber quality slot of touch up on that 7 cr steel ain't worth the money big 🤮 bomb might be a better butter knife but then again probably couldn't cut that either 😂😂😂

Any 7cr17mov steel isn't worth it as a hunting knife. Buck's 420hc is great with their heat treatment. A hunting blade in 14c28n, 440c, D2, 154cm = yes. Even 9cr or VG10, but 7cr17mov just doesn't cut it for a hunting knife. The 7cr blade material is too soft and very poor on edge retention. I am very disappointed in Gerber that they offered past hunting knives in 5cr, 7cr - Freeman type also. Cheap steel.
