Orphaned Elephant Returns To Sanctuary That Saved Her With a Baby Calf

An elephant returns to the wildlife sanctuary where she was raised and brings a surprise. Galana was rescued twelve years ago when she was only one-year-old. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust released her into the wild when she was strong enough and she now lives with a herd of elephants. Once a month, the group returns to the DSWT, but this time, those it was visiting were shocked to see Galana with offspring of her own. They were greeted by people and elephants, all wanting to celebrate the baby! #InsideEdition

This is hyperbole. DSWT has known for decades they former orphans bring their babies to show them. "Shocked" is just exaggerated use of words. We seem to excel in it now which is sad.
