Two burglars allegedly broke into a mansion in Tarzana but were confronted by the homeowner, who was armed with a shotgun.

If I were him, I would've taken their lives. It's infuriating to see these atrocities in the most powerful country in the world. The barbaric extremities will never stop until the authorities start thinning out the violent herd

Burglaries that happen at night is intentionally a dangerous home invasion. They know that you'll be home and they can force you to open your safe. It's often times deadly for the homeowners. Good on this homeowner for taking initiative and protecting his family.

This happened to me and my gf once. The second I turned the corner in my hallway my barrel was in his face. He literally apologized and put things back. Crazy world we live in. Cops called and if it wasn't for my German Shepard, he would've had full advantage.

If that man had not had the shotgun there's a good chance he'd be a statistic in a morgue today. Nobody was hurt. The crime for the most part was averted. This is why we have guns for self defense in the home. This homeowner had the common sense to not overreact.

Should have said "get out or I'll shoot right" as he was shooting, burglars are creatures of habit, they'll burgle again, and the next home owner (or renter) may not have a gun to scare them off.

If the homeowner shot them, he would be in jail and financially ruined. The same cops complaining about gascon letting criminals out are the same cops who will arrest you for defending yourselves from those criminals. Self-defense is a crime. If self-defense was not a crime
you would not need a lawyer after defending yourself and your family. If self-defense was not a crime, there would not be jury instructions for self-defense. The homeowner would have the burden of proof that he was in imminent danger for his life or grave bodily harm, the DA would do his best to paint the homeowner as a deranged murderer.
