This song is sad, but not as sad as the settlement needing your help, I'll mark it on the map

Songs like this while playing fallout 4 makes me realize how much PTSD the sole survivor must have.

I love how your jamming out through the wasteland blowing raiders heads into oblivion, and then this comes on just to bring you back to reality about how destroyed the world is.

To be honest, this is probably the saddest song in this game, but it fits it so well.

This sounds like something you would hear in the waiting room to heaven.

This song is way too depressing. It's just too real and is easily the most atmospheric song in the game. It is also one of the most appropriate songs for any game I've ever played.

Had the perfect introduction to this song. Literal movie-esc moment.

Was in my Military camouflaged T-51c Power armour and I made my way into the Boston Mayoral Shelter. Was looking around the living quarters, and I have this habit of usually turning on Radios where they would've once played regularerly. Anyway, I switched on two of them in the living quarters, and that stuttering nerd was talking about some shit on the radio. I came across the Mayors holotape to his children and wife, and begun to play it.

Midway through the holotape, when he states he's going to kill himself for the better of his family, the song popped up on the radios and it echoed through the rooms, due to the multiple radio song locations bug where it plays slightly delayed with every radio, and it was just an amazing moment.

Shit like this is what makes me love Fallout.

This came on one of the radios during the final battle for Nick Valentine's companion quest.
The song echoed through the subway as Valentine and I marched through an army of Raiders to get to Eddie Winter. It felt very cinematic.

Why does the sun go on shining?
Why does the sea rush to shore?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
'Cause you don't love me anymore
Why do the birds go on singing?
Why do the stars glow above?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when I lost your love
I wake up in the morning and I wonder
Why everything's the same as it was
I can't understand, no, I can't understand
How life goes on the way it does
Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eyes of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye
Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eyes of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye

walking around the glowing sea and listening to this is depressing

It’s insane how it’s already been 5 years since Fallout 4 released so now this song is pretty nostalgic.

I dismissed Curie after maxing her affinity and getting her perk, this song comes on and I immediately run after Curie and to top it off, it was also raining.

Whenever the haunting notes of this song reach my ears, they gently draw tears from my eyes. Fallout 4 wasn't just a game; it was an entire universe where my twin brother and I became lost explorers, weaving stories with every quest, every character, and every choice. This melody is a cherished echo of our shared memories, a reminder that his spirit still lingers in the depths of my heart. I long for those days, my Oliver, and I'm endlessly grateful for the precious time we journeyed together in the Commonwealth. I miss you Oliver.

The Fallout series seems to mask itself with what feels like humour and does a good job at keeping the players mind diverted from the harsh reality in which the game is set in. This song just feels like it makes you take a step back y'know? Getter a better glimpse at the big picture.
