Saw the title, immediately thought "I wonder what JB picked to go alongside the Range Rover and S-Class". Avoiding the SC was a good move! XK was my assumption, not sure the Z4 makes anyone look rich but it's a much better choice for a 3 car garage. Also impressively, your inflation-adjusted prices are pretty close to the prices of the new models of those cars!

I'd love to know how long it takes for this 3 car garage to cost more than my car, including depreciation. I reckon a year at best 😂

You could have just cheated and gone triple S500, but that wouldn't have made a good video at all...3 of the same is a thing though it seems- someone near me has a 3 car garage made up solely of Austin Maestros. No idea why.

Great video however you made 3 mistakes for luxury suv the car you were looking for is the Daewoo Musso, For the luxury daily the choice should of been a Daewoo Lacetti hatch and for the luxury sports car the choice should of been a Daewoo Matiz now i understand they may be a bit hard to find but if i can spot all 3 of them in 3 months they are findable enough to buy you likely missed these cars in the research for the video as they are so amazing that there are very few for sale

I considered an early Cayenne but some issues with some engines. I owned a BMW X5 (E53) & a 2005 RRS...both V8 petrol models. Both kept my wallet busy with fuel & maintenance bills...oddly the RRS was less problematic of the two. Both were sleepless nights cars to own in abscence of meaningful aftermarket warranty cover. Tempting as it may be....cosmetic mods beyond retro fit OE options are seldom cool...To many cars with tacky aftermarket bolted on bits for my liking. Had a Z3 (not Z4)...3.0si would be my Z4 choice. Current runaround is an E Class estate ...maybe not coolest car but decent enough look OK at most repectable venues.

Higher mileage cars with full history better gambles than timebombs needing big bills around the corner


Decent prestige used stuff available but be very careful if buying badly maintained examples. A brake overhaul and full service attending to items on a large used SUV plus some decent tyres could cost easily cost well north of £2k

Also be mindful of cost of sorting cosmetics....UK paint shop prices are rovkerkn (especially from those running ovens). I was quoted £480 to respray a back bumper recently. Over double the cost 3 years ago !

Good idea of video.. good choices.. but as comment's say that are expensive to run and probably unreliable now, especially BMW.. nice video man. Do a 3 car garage that's reliable for 10k, maybe a bit more of you can't for 10 Gee's

Good choices but a big Range Rover vogue might be a better lux option if available at the right price.
