Snap VS Flatpak: Which One Is Better?

In this video, we compare the Snap and Flatpak packaging formats in several categories, and see who comes out on top. Spoiler: it's probably not who you expect. Of course both packaging formats are awesome, and neither is really inferior to the other. Also this video does not cover ideological comparisons.
I hope you enjoy it :)

Thank you! Amazing video! Right now I am in a state of dilemma between snaps and flatpaks but I tend more to choose snaps.

I hope snaps and flatpack both can get better, its better to have 2 good store than 1

if you are using a old PC, never use snap, that's the real exp from me, so fxcking slow in initialization

Good video, but please put the numbers on the graph next time. Makes it easier to compare.

I'm a Kubuntu fan girl, so I tend to lean towards snaps. But, I prefer plain old repo/.deb files when I can.

i was surprised that snaps are better, despite the community's bad comments about snaps.

Nice video, you're going the right way. The problem with snaps is the load times at start, not the performance.

It's hard to commentt on these two containerized formats as i hardly ever use them. Most of the programs i installed were from the repos. *I do like the fact that they have programs not available in the repos.* Your detailed analysis of these two platforms is informative and complete. I am considering to use snaps to install pycharm, a python IDE editor. Great job and a honest review. 👍👍👍

Most certainly you avoid the top controversy here, is the snap store proprietary? This question is very important to quite a few Linux users who simply don't want proprietary stuff on their systems. SNAPS wins nothing in the eyes of many. Applause to Linux Mint for doing and moving forward without SNAPS.
