ファーストアルバム「1ST」の衝撃から1年。2022年1月5日に発売されるSixTONESの待望の2ndアルバム「CITY」
更に洗練されたノンジャンル／ボーダレスな音楽作品となった今作。そのリード曲「Rosy」は映画「スパイダーマン：ノー・ウェイ・ホーム」日本語吹替版主題歌。運命への葛藤を払拭する強い意志を表現した、激しく疾走感あふれるRockチューン。

映画のために書き下ろされた楽曲という事もあり、楽曲・映像ともにスパイダーマンを彷彿とさせる要素が多く散りばめられている。歌詞にも「糸」「摩天楼」「運命」といった、スパイダーマンの要素や心情を表したフレーズが多く歌われている。またMVで見せるパフォーマンスについても、スパイダーマンになるきっかけとなった「蜘蛛に首の後ろを噛まれた」事を表すシーンや、スパイダーマン独特の立ち姿である「手を広げて糸を出す」事を表すシーンなど、作品とのリンク性が垣間見れる振付となっている。

A year passed since the sensational first album, “1ST” and finally, on January 5, 2022, the SixTONES’ second album “CITY” was released.
The new album is consisted of refined no-genre, borderless music. The lead track, “Rosy” is the main theme for the Japanese dubbed version of the film, “Spider-man: No Way Home”, and is a fast and wild rock tune that expresses the strong will to fight against destiny.

Since the track was written exclusively for the film, various elements of Spider-man are scattered throughout the song as well as the video. There are words like ‘ito (threads)’, ‘matenrou (skyscrapers)’, and ‘unmei (destiny)’ in the lyrics that portray Spider-man and his feelings, and in the performance seen in the video, there are choreography that link the song with the film such as scenes where the members are ‘bitten by the spider’ (i.e. how he became a Spider-man), and standing with hands spread as to ‘fire spider webs’.
