I have used the duragraph before but it has been a long time, now I do it again with a 1.1mm stub!

There should be an 'I don't like cigar shaped pens' club. I'd join! :).

I understand the confusion. This does look a lot like the Conklin Duragraph Night Something.

I have 3 conklins and I like all of them. 2 stub nibs and one fine. Nothing but smoothness right out of box

I have a few Conklins and I love their stub nibs. Glad you gave them a try again.

Reminds me a little bit of the TWSBI Iris at first glance. But besides this: it looks goodl Looks... tempting. And it is still available...

I haven't gotten the stub but out of 5 duragraphs, an all American and 3 monteverde I have only had one with misaligned tines since they switched. I guess I'm lucky. I've had this pen a few months and love it. I have 1094/1898. You did get lucky!!!

The Duragraph is such a lovely vintage-y looking modern pen. I still have one (the very attractive Forest Green). I gave away the other. Alas, Conklin pens come with miserably misfiring dud nibs far too often. Monteverde is just the same. I have had three changes of nibs before I finally got my green Duragraph writing to my satisfaction. The pens are affordably priced, but there’s simply no excuse for chronically crappy nibs out of the box for any pen at any price point.

This matte black one is alright. Nothing special. Just another trendy addition to the market full of such pens. The rainbow with gunmetal one is even more of a tawdry trend these days. Conklin designs are also usually rather pedestrian. The Nozac, Coronet, All-American, Herringbone etc. are all so very meh...Anyway, unless Conklin can ensure their pens come with nibs that are reliable and pleasant from the get-go, I won’t buy another Conklin again. The only Conklin pens I have cared to keep in my collection are the Duragraph, the Crescent Filler (w/a second replacement nib), and my favorite one: the Heritage Word Gauge pen with a 1.1 stub.

I too have this pen. My pen works fine, but I guess I'm lucky. Conklin gives folks like me a normally good pen at an affordable price which I appreciate. Good video.

I got this one a couple months ago and generally really like it. No problems with my fine nib. I do however get inky after refilling the ink even after I clean it. Other than that it’s a nice pen.

I just ordered this pen on impulse and found your video after the fact ...😅😅 I was sitting here like, "Please, let her say good things about it! 😅😅💀"

Went through 3 Conklin nibs, all terrible. Nothing could ever convince me to buy another. I wish you better luck.

I have the exact same pen & love mine. I have in the past given up on Conklin as every pen I purchased was misaligned & wrote horrible out of the box. I couldn’t pass up the awesome color of this one & was pleasantly surprised that the 1.1 wrote like a dream out of the box.

it's so beautiful, but man i wish the nib was rainbow like the all american-rainbow nib, I know it would make it more expensive, but it would be

I have had a very good experience of Conklin's customer service. My crescent filler hasn't been working too well and hasn't since I bought it. Conklin are sending me a replacement this month.

Lol...stealthy flashy...perhaps will tell the hubs I need to add this type of pen to my burgeoning collection. 😂 As always a great overview of the pen. I was totally unaware that some pens might not work right out of the box. Good to know. 🙌🏻 Enjoy your week and your new pen!

Aw you got number 12? I wasn't going to buy it but that's my favorite number!! Enjoy!

Design is very reminiscent of a vintage Duofold. Funnily enough I’ve just dug out my cracked ice Duragraph. 😀

My Conklin Endura is my favorite pen to write with. Easily my smoothest nib currently. So imagine my shock when I found out most people have issues with there Conklin nibs. Anyway, gorgeous pen!! Might just have to pick this one up from Goulet too lol

I've had rotten "luck" with Conklins. I have their Duroflex and their Nozac. The Duroflex came with their OmniFlex nib that I really wanted to be great or, at least, OK. It was not. I bought a replacement nib that was the same "not good." I sure hope others have better experiences. Yours, this time, seems to be a good one. Thanks for your review(s)!

The stub is the only Conklin nib that has ever worked for me, but I find the pens kind of "meh" so I don't buy the brand anymore. They look good in photos and feel cheap in real life, at least to me. But the stub has long been the least problematic nib.
