Despite its geographical location south of Peloponnese, Kythira is officially part of the Ionian island group. It is one of the most secluded Greek islands to visit, although its wonderful nature and golden beaches are totally worth the effort! Villages with a Venetian architecture, abandoned settlements and monuments make it a great destination for history and nature enthusiasts alike.
