I was thinking about getting a 436 because it seems like it's easier to operate with favorites lists and Quick Keys compared to the SDS 100

Was thinking about sds100 but so many people having problems and having to send them back for repairs then waiting a month to get it back then ending up with the exact same problem again. I just bought this scanner but maybe later I'll try trc1. Hope this one does good on simulcast.

I’m trying to get to a system I programmed to a quick key of 15… favorites list 15…how do I enter 15 into this scanner? When I try enter 15 it doesn’t work.

Would it be possible to save a channel/frequency for police/fire and have it available as a quick find when needed?

I do not use Quick Keys at all. If I did use them I would have to memorize or write down what FO and SO were and have to look them up every time. I just create Favorite lists and go to them and toggle them on or off. Also I do not listen to Police or Fire or EMS as I did that for over 20 years and find it boring. (Live in New York City and there are tons of PD and FD and EMS to listen to and i guess I habituated to them). I listen to Public Safety in my Condo and where I work and store and malls. Some of what I listen to is DMR and NXDN.

I just got mine today. Oddly enough, I cant find a way to power the unit other than the batteries. Cant this be done through the USB? No?

Is there a way you can set up that scanner to monitor all your favourites list at the same time? Or will it by default only monitor the one you selected?

Get to were you can program something we could hear, your video didnt help me to buy anything, get something to hold your camra you cand do a better job with 2 hands

Complete junk. Just out of warranty, mine can't operate without the batteries getting hot. The antenna is cheap and it could be a lot more user friendly. Uniden really pisses me off with their holding out NEXEDGE modification for another $80.
I hope we see a new attorney general soon who will call Uniden on their greed. Uniden will not see another dollar from me.
If you want to rob people at least buy a gun and do it like a man instead of hiding in a corporate office.
