He was definitely the first person I saw on YT doing extreme calisthenics. A pioneer indeed!!!!

Man is a LEGEND!. You could argue he's the reason calisthenic movements even blew up on YouTube back in the day. He's the reason I bought a pull up bar way back in 2009. I now use a mix of traditional weights+calisthenics, but I would have never even begun the journey if it wasn't for his videos.

This narrator sounds Eastern European so Hannibal's impact was GLOBAL. This Brotha definitely deserves more credit, sponsorships, & endorsement for the resurgence of calisthenics.

Just in case Hannibal is reading these comments; thank you from all my heart! I’ve been working out for 10+ years consistently and you were my main motivation. Be Blessed!

I’m 55, 13 years Hannibal’s senior. He, in part, is why I decided last year to start working out nearly every day: cleared the basement, bought a body tower, complete at least three sets of pushing, pulling and legs exercises daily and no longer have the pains I suffered with less than a year ago.

I may never look as good as Hannibal, but my wife thanks me, cheers me on and often expresses how much better I look.

Hannibal, you are an inspiration and go-to source when proving to myself that, “Yes! Even if it’s just one more rep, a little better form or better pacing, I can improve myself today.”👍🏾

I started working out when I was 11 years old, now I'm 42.
I remember when Hanibal took over the YouTube, all the kids in the neighborhood started working out, and when ever I was passing by the park kids were asking me to do some pullups with them.
No matter how tired I was, I always did a few sets with them.
Hanibal really inspired those kids, he is a legend.

Hannibal was very popular and motivated a lot of people like me, in the streets of Sofia, Bulgaria, 13-14 years ago. That is how far his workout videos reached. Sports legend.

We look at Hannibal as the "Bruce Lee" of calisthenics. He is a legend. He is King of Cal. Salute and respect forever. If he came back with a YT the Community would Full on support him. He would have millions of subscribers, starting with this one right here.

Word, I am definitely one of his disciples. I started calisthenics when I discovered Hannibal and I’ve never looked back. 55yrs old and still ruffing it up. 👊🏿

The dude really doesn't get enough credit. A lot of youtube/online fitness modern capitalist infrastructure began with this guy's videos. Very frustrating when pioneers like this get forgotten due to simply being in the wrong place and time.

Hope that he's happy and fruitful, regardless.

One of the most influential athletes of his generation. Before him these skills were super niche for elite gymnasts and climbers. Now you see people doing front levers in the park like it's a normal skill to have. The guy really had a global impact. Absolute legend.

Thank you so much for putting this video together. I’m from New York City black man and I’m 60 years old. I started following him and the bartenders back in 2019 just before Covid hit and ever since then I’ve never been back to the gym again. I could not believe that you can get so in shape by working out at the park but I’m living proof right now in New York City. It gets cold in the winter time so I bought a pull up rack and parallel bars for my basement but when the weather gets warm, I go right back outside…..
Shout out to Hannibal for king

I started Calisthenics after seeing Hannibal more than 10 years ago, right after the rumours started about a Guy posting his bar and body weight training sessions from a playground in Brooklyn on YouTube. His story of not bring able to pay for training at a gym and therefore taking any opportunity at outdoor grounds to keep his wellbeing and health in focus, plus his philosophy regarding plantbased diet being more benefitial for humans than animal protein had also shown itself true at least in our families health and athletic progression. That was Hannibal the King and it inspired me then as it has continued to inspire both myself, my wife, our 15 year old daughter, 13 yo Son and 10 & 11 year old sons.

Hannibal, The Bartenders (Giant) and The Beast are the 3 that started me on my way back in 2009. I think Hannibal was on another level back then with the moves he was doing. They were just different.

He definitely had an impact on my own journey, 2 years ago right before covid I went to Wingate park to train and saw him. I mainly bboy and do acro but after my experience there I integrated more calisthenics. If you ever get the chance just go to wingate park brooklyn, you'll find all sorts of ppl going beast mode. I want to head back once I can do closed legged planche and at least 15 muscle ups straight just to show face there.

I saw HFK's video in 2010. He sparked a fire in me that let me to build some bars. This formed a a fairly large bar community over 10 public fitness parks to be built that are used by hundreds of young and old people. And that's just in a 20-30 mile radius in the Centre of England.
