A marvelous musical theatre soprano with a brilliant yet smooth tone, complemented by a powerful belt. Judy Kuhn, a greatly talented and unfortunately underrated artist, has contributed to many of the most famous showtunes, including those from Disney's Pocahontas, the musical Chess, and the masterpiece Les Misérables. I hope you enjoy this video about her! Thank you!

Colors of the Wind was one of my favorite songs growing up so it was great to hear more from Judy in terms of voice, performance, and discography even in these small segments. She has a quite light pretty voice which I enjoy a lot. Thank you for the video! 💕

She is incredible. I can feel the brilliance of her powerful chest voice; her belts are smooth and fluid rather than impactful. Thank you for the video. I hope you can make one about Anthony Newley's vocal range someda.

I really enjoyed watching Judy Kuhn's vocal range video! She can do really well both with legit singing and belting as a skilful musical theatre singer. She could have gone higher than C6 in her younger years, but still strong head voice with those recent B5s!

Thank you so much for putting this together for us! I've loved her since Chess and saw her in She Loves Me. Truly a gift of a voice. Dying to know where the live perfs you had her 80s headshot as the photo. Great work on this video.

YOU ARE A GOD! Judy is by far my favorite Broadway singer, and I've never seen her range put into a single video! It's a shame there doesn't seem to be an easily findable D3, as she sang Les Mis on Broadway for a few months and there used to be a bootleg with Valjean's Death with a genuinely powerful low D. Regardless, she has an incredible voice with nearly 3 octaves of almost limitless ease and expression.

Can’t believe I wasn’t familiar with her before. Still to this day an outstanding High Soprano

Hi, great video, I know this is pretty unrelated but would you ever consider doing one of these videos for Idina Menzel, I know she's not the best of a technical singer, but I would still love to see a video on her

Professor Kaji I have a question. If you had to rank these women from contemporary head voice to most operatic head voice how would you rank them? Judy Kuhn, Alli Mauzey, Kristin Chenoweth, Audra Mcdonald, and Barbara Cook. I'm just curious because I can't really tell when a headvoice is more operatic or not

Surprised she’s never demonstrated going above C6.

@Kaji do you think you’ll still do a vocal range video for Bettye Nelson in the future?
