My man was every job. He is like Johnny Sins.

I agree though I feel like there may be some shy people that don’t want to interrupt your work and if they ask you while doing it, some workers might yell at them. Not all workers are nice as you. This is not hate, I’m just thinking this possibility with common sense.

I got some supermarket horror stories for ya bro! Lol I worked for Browns Sloprite hahaha back in the 90’s and I dealt with some very rude & ignorant customers.
The couple things I hated the most was, I would only get one day off a week. And it would be a dickhead day like a Tuesday or Wednesday, when the senior citizens got their social security checks, so they were all out on the road, when I had off and had to go somewhere. The good thing was, most of the time, they were grocery shopping!
The other thing I hated was, we didn’t have direct deposit in those days.
Sometimes, I would get off on a Friday and I had to come in to the store for my paycheck and wait in line at the front desk to sign for my check. While walking into the store, walking to the front desk, standing in line, walking out of the store, walking to my car, either a customer would stop me and ask me for something (cause I was always there), or a manager would need me for something. ON MY DAY OFF! All I wanted was to get my friggin puny little paycheck and LEAVE!!! Haha. It was so annoying! Some of the customers were very nice, some of the coworkers were okay and after 25-30 years, I still talk to a few of them. But the owner was a really big pompous asshole. Rich kid. Now the f*ck is running for mayor in Philly. (I called that he would run back in 2010-2012). Anyway, supermarkets…
They are essential but they are a very thankless job. My opinion.

Something they really hate is when you start swapping around things to different shelves that they don't belong on

Wow imagine not being able to recognize someone having patience and being polite enough to wait a second. So you can finish or get to a point where you can stop and then get what they need. Smh people have lost the ability to think about things from another's perspective. 🤡 🌎

I think you're being a bit melodramatic. If that's the worst thing you deal with in your job...you have an extremely easy job. That person may be rude. Be the bigger person and don't stoop to their level.

Sometimes when I’m standing there looking at the shelves while a worker is stocking, I’m just looking to see if you guys have an item I want; other times, if I spot the item, I don’t want to bother you from your groove when I know that I can get it without bothering you.

Most of the large stores around me that are open real late or even 24 hrs do the shelf stocking off hours so that happens limited times

Similar thing happens in restaurants. A guest will walk up right behind a server who's actively engaged a table and then they just... don't say anything. They either sneak right behind you and risk getting knocked over when you turn around or they awkwardly wait for you to feel their presence... Just say "excuse me" like a normal person!

Omg so true. I work at a grocery store too, and I find that one of the most annoying things is when a customer tries to ask you for assistance while you’re on your break 😭😭

Bro ur gonna have to tell us. Why don't you drive limos anymore? It seemed like a very short time, and I was excited for limo content.

Let me tell you a little secret from back when young kids and adults were taught how to provide customer service. If you were properly trained you would turn around when You noticed someone looking where you were stocking and say "is there something I can get for you? Did you need one of these?" The other thing is if a manager at any of the stores or businesses I worked at saw you whining about a customer in a public forum you would be removed kgb style from the work environment. Likely taking you months to find other work. So sick of these whiny little "this is what bartenders servers store clerks hate about customers." Or worse "dont do this or how to properly order..." We were taught respect and appreciation for customers. Thats were your paycheck comes from. People at fast food joints looking for tips when theyre not actually servers. None of you understand what a job is all about then cry you dont have a living wage as a 35 year old fry guy.

Worked retail and I hated it when people would come in and ask how much something was when the sign with the price was literally right in front of them

You have been through many different jobs and I feel like you have to start a new job like every few months due to things going on in the economy

You clearly notice people doing this. I feel like you could simply ask am I blocking your way? Learn some customer service bud.
