Great method. My only differences are that I group all the "Civil War Presidents" from Polk to Lincoln together, and the "Gilded Age"" Presidents from Johnson to McKinley together, since they give me the most trouble. I also tend to split the 20th century up by pre and post depression.

Grouping things is a good way to not only to remember a lot of details but also to organize.

Post-Founding Father Presidents:

Pre-Civil War Presidents:
