TUTORIAL Elvis Pompadour: WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS HAIRCUT

When we started Schorem our business plan came down to this line: “Would Elvis Aaron Presley come in for a haircut..?” We build our whole shop as a tribute to The King and his perfect manes... Now, I’m not arrogant enough to say I’m skilled enough to recreate that iconic cut, BUT I SURE AS HELL TRY!!! Elvis, Brian Setzer, James Dean, Herman Brood were just a few of the ( Anti ) heroes that got me started doing haircuts but nothing has changed since the day I picked up my clippers, my life’s devoted to the quest for the perfect Pompadour..

I love working with clippers, The Holy Ashtray IS a barbershop after all and I truly, truly believe the magic isn’t in the hand that holds the tool in hat takes the hair off, I believe in the hand that holds the tool that guides that hand... I never thought I would watch the full 30 minutes but this is just so inspiring! What a work of art! This is a free online masterclass. Also really cool how you emphasised the importance of using a traditional oil based product. It's really essential to the look and the old school experience. Investing and learning how to use those products, and thereby dismissing the convenience of a washable product can be a struggle but it also builds character and is really satisfying.
