Robert Augustine Ward "Doc" Lowndes (4 September 1916-14 July 1998) was an American editor and author, and a correspondent of H. P. Lovecraft in the last year of the latter's life. An avid horror fan, he wrote a number of pieces both set in and inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos.

he introduced Nyaghoggua, a being served by the priests of Arkya, mentioned in the Song of Yste, a "pre-glacial" text. Some scholars suggest that Nyaghoggua is merely another name for Tsathoggua

These stories are AWESOME thank you so much for sharing..Because of my back I am confined to a bed in a nursing home so I am unable to go to bookstores or the library any more and extremely limited in my income.. So these audiostories are treasures to me..Words are unable to properly express my genuinely heartfelt appreciation for these..again THANK YOU

Watched this by accident, ended up enjoying it. My fave story was The Wall.

If you have issues with the ai voice, speed up the playback to 1.25. It flows more naturally.

If you found a way to have a person read these? You would easily be the number one channel on this subject and content. Either way, top-tier historic wise and the obscurity of some of the tales and authors...phenomenal. I guarantee that there is something in your playlist that even the biggest Cosmic/Eldritch horror connoisseur has not heard of.

I'm currently writing a story inspired by a strange dream about a man with a broken rib being locked in solitary confinement with his hands cuffed behind his back.

It's kind of nightmarish

I'm fascinated by the bit about the secret German moon base, i thought that was something that only dated to WW2 Germany... Just how old is this trope? 🤔
