This movie proves, Spielberg still has that childlike enthusiasm for cinema.

Steven Spielberg is and always will be one of the directors and an icon of modern cinema, who conquered the audience and critics like ET, Jaws, and Jurassic Park, among others, and his consecration at the Oscars as Schindler List and Saving Private Ryan., but now it was his turn to make his movie that portrayed his childhood journey to being one of the best directors of the moment.
The Fabelmans is both his most personal film and his great love for cinema, and I think I can say it is the best film in his filmography. And it is more than talking about his life and childhood through himself as Sammy, talking about family issues, his love of cinema, and how being a director is not a hobby for Sammy.
Both LaBelle, Williams, and Dano did it incredibly, Seth Rogen took me by surprise for his move from comedy to drama and he did it more or less, Hirsch also did it incredibly, also the photography of his great collaborator Janusz Kaminski stands out, and the music of the iconic John Williams (which I hope does well after this and Indiana Jones 5) and well deserved in which he won the Golden Globes for best drama film and best director. Let's go to the Oscars.

PS: Tell me I'm not the only one who was excited to see David Lynch as John Ford...

This film is a masterpiece that shows the basis of all of Spielberg's filmography.

Mr. Spielberg is very nice. He invited a dorky fan onto stage with him because the fans T-shirt said how much he wanted to meet Steven Spielberg.😊

My favourite thing about the last shot is how the camera slightly jolts to the left as it tilts up. If this was a David Fincher film the shot would've been achieved with almost robotic precision, but here the camera is clearly being operated by someone sitting being it (I'd like to think the director). The handheld movement makes the film feel that much more handmade. Not that it had to be — it has Spielberg's fingerprints all over it anyway.

Surprisingly it is not nominated in the Best Cinematography category; its far more cinematographically accomplished than Empire of Light and Elvis which got cinematography nomination; Why? Due to just Roger Deakins' name ?

이거 한국에도 개봉 좀 했으면 좋겠어요. 극장에서 꼭 보고 싶은 영화 1순위인데 본토에서 흥행 성적이 낮아서 그런지 아직도 개봉을 안 하네요... ㅜㅜ

This movie is 200% far superior than Empire of Light; both as an accomplished film and in cinematography.
