To really accelerate the EV transition in the UK we do need something to help pick up the pace.
Eg a subsidy for private buyers for a new EV (that only BIK/salary sacrifice drivers get now)

Or access to home charging via pavement gulley's like Kerbo charge, Gul -E .and others to be approved for use nationwide.

Second hand EVs are the same price or cheaper than their petrol equivalents these days and we can help them go mass market by enabling charging at home for more people.

Theres certainly a place for EV’s. I don’t want one at all but im all for others using them.

I cannot afford an EV to start with and I could not charge it if I did because people would trip up on the cable as I park in the road. Rich people like this guy don't understand that most of us don't have a big cash sum to buy a car and don't have a driveway on which to charge our car. Basically, these EV's are for rich people who can afford the up-front costs and we don't have anywhere to charge these things. I want one but I cannot afford one and probably won't be able to for decades.

Cheap for now until they get everyone onto it, then the same price hikes will come in.

Not to mention the cost of the car is outside the budget of anyone who isn't upper-middle class.

Sooo yeah.

We've seen this with tech enough times now. Expensive product but initially low cost or "free" service. Then once the early majority "leap the chasm" then income all the subscription models and price gouging.

I never drove due to all the costs and headaches attached, but you all go nuts with your wage slavery and debt slavery that you seem to love so much! 🙄👍
