You’re such an inspiration, I would like to tell u something, I don’t know if it’s usual or is just me. Well my problem is that when I have a reference image etc, I can draw pretty well and I enjoy it a lot, but when I don’t look at a reference or I try to create my own art there are two options or I don’t have any ideas, or in the rare case that I have an idea I can’t draw it well, I’ve been drawing for like 10 months “seriously” and I don’t enjoy when that happens. Thanks for listening and I hope it isn’t me 💕💕

Something I recently learned to soften those lines.... keep a dry brush or paper towel with you and sop up the edges where your paint is. The line is caused by the water drying, so if there's less water, the edges won't be as harsh!

I think the edge thing is a combination of watercolor and paper. Have you tried Holbein watercolors plus 100% cotton paper? I feel with that combination, it is easier to avoid hard edges comparing cellulose paper+W&N with the same skill level in watercolor. Of course, I saw people get rid of hard edges by re-wetting and lifting, softening with a damp brush after the layer has dried or wet on wet the entire time. But all that requires more time and skill.

The hard edge can be avoided by putting down a layer of water first and then going on top with the color you want to use. Or at least that's what solved the problem for me and i didn't use very good quality paper nor paint ! Love this idea, it's super cute
