ANFIELD ROAD Roof Removal Begins! | May 29 Update

Work on the Anfield Road Stand Expansion at Anfield is really taking shape, with the removal of the existing roof taking place this week.

Cranes are on the pitch and began the removal on Monday.

Just for your info lads, half of the roof and its truss (main stand end) was removed this evening, it's now on the pitch at that end :)

Hopefully with the extra seats and Europa league footy instead of champions league, I’ll actually be able to buy a reasonable priced ticket. Been a fan for 20 years almost and still haven’t seen Liverpool play live in a competitive game.

Makes me laugh at the progress LFC have made, the competitions LFC has won, the players LFC have acquired in that time, the training facilities and all working off less of a budget than some other clubs have at their disposal yet some fans scream for the owners to leave 😂😭 it’s an absolute disgrace

Why not redesign it to be much closer with multiple higher levels that look over the pitch to scare visiting teams even more & make them feel claustrophobic . 😒

61k now, still... barely acceptable for a club of Liverpool's size.
Only catching up to the likes of West Ham, Spurs, Arsenals of this world.
Anfield needs to be circa 70/75k, a similar size to what Elite clubs have, like Bayern, Real Madrid, Man Utd, Barcelona, .

The roof was only left on during the season to stop Salah's shots & pens from bouncing toward Stanley Park...apparently, Mo is a bit upset that he won't be playing UCL football next season, however I guess that the £350k per week he earns is some small consolation, eh?!
