Thank you for sharing Kate’s book and your poem, Joel! I am just starting to read more poetry, so your update is interesting to me as a reminder that poems are crafted, not simply inspired out of thin air! I sometimes feel that way about classical music, too - well surely that composer is just simply a genius, no mortal human could ever do that. Mozart aside, it’s good to know that the creation of poetry and music are usually a combination of training, experience, and hard work - and fun! 😀- in addition to talent.
