Thank you for the detailed instructions on growing stock seeds and seedlings. I really appreciate that you explain the temperature requirements, as I live in subtropical Australia and knowing the germination temperature really helps me succeed with these beautiful flowers. I am only growing in my home garden.

I grew up growing flowers next door to my grandma... wishing now that I would have paid more attention to how she did everything 🌻 Thanks for teaching us here and helping me fill in the gaps of knowledge. I've followed you now for years and it's great to see how you've grown into making really warm videos! Bravo!!

I've been watching gardening channels ALL winter and I don't know why the common sense of replanting duplicate sprouts in the ungerminated cells didn't occur to me or get mentioned anywhere else, but thank goodness I saw this video 😅

Thank you for doing this series of videos on growing various seeds for cooler climates. I find it SO incredibly helpful and t's hard to find this type of info for those of us in Northern Climates!

Your explanations are so useful for planting flowers at scale. In 2023 I am relying mainly on your videos to guide my 4th year of gardening. I will be starting 600-1000 plants from seed, and also will be transplanting perennials like lavender and echinacea purpurea that I over-wintered from last year. Thank you always!

I'm so glad you shared the "surface sow method" for stock 🪻 It works great for me, as well! I think Antique Pink is my favorite, but I love them all 💗

Just found your channel. Thank you for providing such good detailed instructions. This will be my first year growing stock from seed. NOT my first year seed starting. Usually just grow veggies.

In Florida it gets hot fast! I started seeds last year late in February and germination was really good but never got to bloom!!
I plan to start them in fall this year!!

Such a helpful video! I’m a home gardener in Z3, first time Katz grower, and looks like next week is go-time. It feels crazy to be planing out seedlings so early. Even though daytime temps are ideal, and hard frosts are less, the ground temps are still very cold. We’ll see how it goes!

Great video and thanks for the tip to surface sow stock! As you said, the seed packets say to cover. I sowed lots in soil blocks and got great germination. I sowed in cell packs too but not so great germination because I covered them!

Very good advice, I have tried according to the seeds box instructions and I had less than 50% germination. I will try your way now, although it is almost mid of March

Started 9 stock inside with my other stuff. Plants are yellowed, tiny, etc. I can't imagine it's too warm. Lost 3. Super weird. Maybe it's the seed but otherwise, IDK. Putting them outside with the snaps early in case they like it.

It’s looks lovely. I started mine a little late, but I’m still hopeful 😅❤ I live in 8b it’s gets hot here fast.

This was really great info, wish you had uploaded when you were sowing. I didn't get any blooms last summer, guessing I may not again. Kind of discouraging thinking I may be wasting seeds, I'm on the shore in Maryland, hot & humid here.

Hi! Thanks for the informative video. Lots of good info. I have a question about planting in succession. What is the reasoning behind doing this with a biennial. Will the plants actually flower at different times next year? What am i missing here. Thanks for your time.

Wish you would mention WHY you go with Katz series. What is different about it from the others. And, which varieties are branching?
