I use both. The weekly log for appointments, etc. Then I daily log. The biggest benefit I have is for my mental health. By daily logging EVERY thing I do, I am able to look back and say...see you did stuff today. Or oops you need to shower (depression and anxiety can make you forget that stuff).

As a teacher I have a 5-day calendar for appointments, a space for notes (reflection, memories etc.), coaching and a really big space for a weekly to do list. I started out with daily logs but writing everything that I didn't managed to do out every day exhausted me. Also it's really hard to make a right assumption how much calm work time I have per day. That's why a weekly is more suitable for me. I mean that's the magic of the bulletjournal: you can do what suits you.

I love both so much. I use weekly logs to put the big tasks/events and daily for the bigger picture. I usually make weekly log the day before the week starts (Sunday) and daily for the day of/in the morning! It’s helped me stay on task so much!

I do weekly logs with a level up style of keeping track of what I do daily with little icons. I have anxiety and depression so it's a real quick at a glance to see "yes, you showered" or see "you wore makeup the other day"😊

I've found a bit of both is perfect for my work planner. The rolling weekly log has been an absolute game changer! The appointments get their space in the daily log, then the rolling weekly log helps me track what work gets done when. My personal planner is predominantly daily to keep track of personal health etc information

I use weeklies mainly because my work days are pretty much always the same, but I can highlight something different in the weekly section if I have to, so that it stands out as something I need to pay more attention to that week.

Having chronic illness and pain I just make a focus for the week or month depending upon how I am feeling. Then on another notepad I write down what I got done each day off of the focus list then transfer that into my bullet journal.

For keeping overview I really like the official version of the weekly log. Last year I started doing something similar to get an overview of my week, both before and after the week was done. Although for me knowing which days I have events/appointments is also important, not just what tasks I wish to complete. So the right side is more small spaces for each day to have a quick at a glance look at the week ahead.

I use a combo method.
I’m using a weekly task list and a reflection page. Then dailies for what I plan to do that day and other notes. Then I’m trying to watch what I eat, so the “preprinted” type of week is where I hope to log my meals and water in my wellness journal (I use a monthly calendar to plan my menu).

I make a weekly timetable and weekly Apple Fitness rings tracker (at the moment, I may end up putting the rings back in the daily log) and a daily log for the tasks. I find that the timetable really helps me to visualize my time—that way if I do get a last minute thing that came up like my friends decided they can do a happy hour later in the week or something, I can fully picture how that will fit into my week. I don’t need a full traditional weekly log but the timetable really helps me from entering time paralysis, so it’s what works for me.

Until a week ago I wasn't using either. Since I'm using my BuJo mostly for building routines, I have monthly trackers where I can keep a record of what I did in certain areas like cleaning, reading etc. As the majority of my day is being taken up by attending school, I have a separate journal for that where I record my time table (differs every week) and appointments. After that I have set routines that I record in my main BuJo in those monthly trackers. For only-once tasks I have a running task list for the entire month.

Last week I started a daily reflections journal though, to assist my mental health. There I record my daily focus (one habit that changes every week), a win, a challenge and a self-care task or skill I used. It just helps assess the past day and be more mindful.

Weekly or daily logs as you showed in your video however don't really work for me, which is why I developed this rather unique system I'm using at the moment

I do a combo I guess. I do weekly spreads that are 2 spreads each (with a dutch-door) that allows for a weekly actions list, summary stats, challenges spaces, and designated daily spaces :)

Mostly use both; weekly for an alert of appts on the appropriate days, with a column for tasks for the week, and a forward spot to help with items the week following.

I first started using weekly logs but because I like long form journalling, I ended up prefering daily logs. For a while, I would have timetables for each week of the month, I could fill with appointements as my weeks tend to vary from one to another. And then I would use daily logs to add my tasks and journal

I personally use a weekly dashboard along with daily logs… my weekly dashboard consists of weekly events appointments meeting, master tasks list for the week and meals planning for the week and daily log has the purpose same as the original bujo method

I create a pre-spaced weekly log for appointments and reminders such as when my husband is in the office, when an Amazon delivery is coming etc. Then I use a running task list for tasks which don't need to be assigned to a particular day. I don't really record my thoughts and feelings in my bullet journal - maybe I should as I'm sure getting them down on paper would be helpful!

I use daily only. I use my Google calendar to keep up with weekly appointments, and daily logs for the details. I do not draw them out ahead of time since my weeks can be vastly different, business wise.

I do a weekly log and a daily log. I skip the monthly log.
Weekly I keep track of things that happen every week. Like cleaning kitty litter, washing my hair, getting paid. And my work schedule.

Daily is things I do on a given day which changes depending on my schedule. This can include confirmation codes when I pay my bills. Chores I need to get done. Grocery lists. My Bible Reading, although I may make that it's own journal.

I am a teacher. I need daily, weekly and a3 size notebook LOL. But jokes aside, I used to do only weekly before I was a teacher, even at university it was fine. Now I need both. Weekly for overview, tracking, self-care time and weekend planning, and daily for lesson planning, notes. Also I have 2 planners - work and personal, but now I am thinking maybe I should try one planner, for example, hobonichi has both daily and weekly

I use daily logs but set them up weekly so half page for days I know I won’t need as much space and full page for days I will need more (usually work days)
Jess I love your square journal it looks beautiful every time you close it. ❤
